Arts and Entertainment, Fine Arts, culture, art museums, performing arts, art galleries, and music are all key aspects of the vitality of a town, city, and state. Often indicative of the economic viability of an area as much as of the cultural life of the place, arts and entertainment, or culture, are important considerations when selecting a place to live. A vibrant and developing community has arts and culture at the heart of it's success. By sharing the experiences of theatre, fine art, literature, lecture series, art museums, music, and dance, a community builds on its intellectual capital, making it a place of excitement and vitality. For this reason, we have included directories of art museums, historical museums, architectural resources, performing arts centers, educational institutions, and related arts and intellectual venues for the regions we cover.
